I think I've done this meme before. Anyway, I hope everyone does it so I can catch up on the stories I've missed!

In 2010 I wrote 14 stories, totaling 32,400 words (plus Yuletide, but I'm not counting that yet, or WIPs).  So. Fewer stories, but more words than last year, but there is a lot of shortfic. The things I co-wrote, with XT, Shane, Sam and Anya, were the best and the most fun.  <3  I also loved beta-reading for so many awesome writers;  thank you for letting me read your stuff first involving me in your fiction-writing process.

My first femslash and a ton of threesome action. (You have to say action like Alicia Bridges. ACK-SHON!)

January:
Connected - Torchwood - (canon pairings)
It took almost dying to make him realise what living really meant

At the Still Point - TW/Doctor Who - (Ten/Jack) with [livejournal.com profile] copperbadge and [livejournal.com profile] shane_mayhem
On the eve of regeneration, the Doctor has one last gift for Jack. (Go on, guess what it is.)

March:
Keep It Like A Secret - Torchwood -  (canon pairings)
Who'd have thought?  Drabbles about everyone's filthy little secrets. So I guess this is a quintuple-drabble.

April:
Different Strokes - Torchwood - (Jack/Ianto, both genderswitched by alien tech) with [livejournal.com profile] xtricks
6,000 WORDS OF PORN  <3  Seriously, this came from an RP and is part of a larger, plotty arc. It makes me wonder if Jack/Ianto would be a huge pairing in fandom if they actually were women.

99:00 - Torchwood (Ianto/Gwen) - written for [livejournal.com profile] dark_fest
The more things change, the more they stay the same (This ate my head for a month and I'm sorry my friends had to endure my interminable whining over it. Still the longest story I've ever written.)

Am reading Illuminating Torchwood:  Essays on Narrative, Character and Structure in the BBC Series by Andrew Ireland at the moment.

Has anyone else checked this one out?   Snippet from the 'Love The Coat' chapter, from Christopher Pullen:

Ignoring for a moment the fact that Suzie's name is spelled wrong, this is interesting.  Hells's bells, I am meta-starved.

Will probably post a review next week.

"You go to school, you go to work, you go to bed. You eat. You get kissed. You have sex. You fall in love, or you don't. But it's work and bed and food and sleep. Two weeks in Spain, and Christmas and birthdays and weekends. Every single day until it stops. That's the world. That's the world I live in. That's all there is.

...how much more is there?"

[livejournal.com profile] neifile7  has written a multiple-pairings story, cat's cradle. I love this!!!!  (No matter who you ship, there's a section you'll dig.)

I ship everyone with everyone else, so... bonus!

BUT. My F(avourite)T3 for Torchwood (I don't have just one, yo) is Jack/Ianto/Gwen.  You can tell this because I can't write it properly myself, I've read every single story out there and I request it in exchanges EVERY HOLIDAY SEASON. :D

[livejournal.com profile] canaana  has a lovely new one called Three Wishes that is just <3

ETA: What everybody else said about not posting LJ entries to facebook. Don't? Obvious fandom etiquette is obvious.  I don't know why ya would show your mom a link to a journal full of sci-fi smutfic, but who knows?

My real name isn't on my journal anyway. (It's Zelda Rumplefistknocker Pinwheel, FYI.)

Well, obviously.

Actor James Marsters has revealed he is keen to reprise his role of bisexual Captain John in the forthcoming new season of Torchwood. Marsters played the former lover of Captain Jack (John Barrowman) in two episodes of the Doctor Who spin-offs second season and was well received by fans in the role. The actor has spoken of his desire to return to Torchwood for its fourth season which will be co-produced by the BBC and Starz.

"Russell T. Davies is over here in LA trying to get an American version of it done. If he doesn't call me, I am going to find him. I'm into it, just ask Russell" Marsters quoted on io9.

In a recent poll by ATV Today on what our readers want to see happen in the next season of Torchwood a return by Captain John came top. It was recently revealed that Marsters will return to Smallville for its final season and will also appear in the second half of Caprica, the Battlestar Galactica prequel, continuing in the role of terrorist leader Barnabus.

I SAID Jane Espenson from Buffy the Vampire Slayer's writing team would be working on Torchwood Series Four and I WAS RIGHT.  I was right because she'll be at Gallifrey One. YES. OH YES. I love being right.

AND JOHN SHIBAN from the X-Files. OH, BABY!  Doris Egan! Rah!

This is from the Chicago Tribune.

Russell T Davies has firmed up the writing staff for the fourth season of "Torchwood," which debuts in the summer of 2011 on Starz.

Torchwood Davies, who created the "Doctor Who" spinoff, will of course write several episodes of the 10-part series, but other writers for Season 4 include John Shiban ("Breaking Bad," "Supernatural," "The X-Files"), Doris Egan ("House," "Tru Calling," "Dark Angel'), Jane Espenson ("Game of Thrones," "Battlestar Galactica," "Buffy") and John Fay (a U.K. "Torchwood" writer).

The writers are currently hard at work on the new season of the show, which tells an international story and feature the kind of serialized, overarching story line featured in "Torchwood: Children of Earth," the miniseries that put the cult sci-fi series on the map when BBC America aired it in 2009.

So, Torchwood Series 4.

Yup! A lot of people thought, well, it'll be on in US, and you know how conservative they are.

Starz isn't.

Spartacus: Blood and Sand.
Is PORNORIFFIC. Holy crap. Peep the sexing here: (Scroll down to episode 9, "Whore". *cough*)

That's more T&A than HBO's Rome!

So, what are the odds Barrowman's going to flash us his junk onscreen in S4? I say, pretty good.

Well, you all know already anyway. :D  (TOLD YOU SO, SUCKAZ!)

LOS ANGELES, June 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Starz Entertainment has acquired U.S. television rights to the next installment of the BBC's audience sensation "Torchwood," developed and produced by BBC Worldwide Productions. Starz will debut the 10-episode series exclusively in the U.S., and BBC One will debut it in the U.K., both in summer, 2011. This is a co-production between Starz, BBC Cymru Wales and BBC Worldwide, and BBC Worldwide will distribute the show outside the U.S. The deal was jointly announced today by Starz, LLC President and CEO Chris Albrecht and BBC Worldwide Productions EVP Jane Tranter.

The stars of the previous versions of "Torchwood," notably John Barrowman (Capt. Jack Harkness) and Eve Myles (Gwen Cooper), will return for the new version. Additional key cast, reflecting the more international scope of the series, will be announced soon.

YEAH BABY. Guess I have to upgrade my satellite package. I cancelled Starz. Oops!

...and we thought the space whale reminded us of Torchwood?

If you saw the Simon Nye-penned story Amy's Choice, you might have been reminded of a certain scene in End of Days (note: spoilery).

I mean, down to a coincidink premise and nearly identical dialogue (!)
