2010 in fic

I think I've done this meme before. Anyway, I hope everyone does it so I can catch up on the stories I've missed!

In 2010 I wrote 14 stories, totaling 32,400 words (plus Yuletide, but I'm not counting that yet, or WIPs).  So. Fewer stories, but more words than last year, but there is a lot of shortfic. The things I co-wrote, with XT, Shane, Sam and Anya, were the best and the most fun.  <3  I also loved beta-reading for so many awesome writers;  thank you for letting me read your stuff first involving me in your fiction-writing process.

January:
Connected - Torchwood - (canon pairings)
It took almost dying to make him realise what living really meant

At the Still Point - TW/Doctor Who - (Ten/Jack) with copperbadge and shane_mayhem 
On the eve of regeneration, the Doctor has one last gift for Jack. (Go on, guess what it is.)

March:
Keep It Like A Secret - Torchwood -  (canon pairings)
Who'd have thought?  Drabbles about everyone's filthy little secrets. So I guess this is a quintuple-drabble.

April:
Different Strokes - Torchwood - (Jack/Ianto, both genderswitched by alien tech) with xtricks 
6,000 WORDS OF PORN  <3  Seriously, this came from an RP and is part of a larger, plotty arc. It makes me wonder if Jack/Ianto would be a huge pairing in fandom if they actually were women.

99:00 - Torchwood (Ianto/Gwen) - written for dark_fest 
The more things change, the more they stay the same (This ate my head for a month and I'm sorry my friends had to endure my interminable whining over it. Still the longest story I've ever written.)

Detained - TW/Doctor Who - Liz X/John Hart

June:

"Retcon doesn't work on me anymore. So unfortunately, this little scenario'll be burned into my memory forever."

Initiation - Torchwood (Jack/Ianto)
It's the first time Ianto's ever done... this  (but probably not the last.)

July:
Don't Speak - Torchwood (Jack/Kathy Swanson)
"Detective Swanson, if I didn't know better, I'd almost start to suspect you didn't like me or something."  There should be more fic of them. Yeah.

Stop - Doctor Who (Ten/Jack) for the wintercompanion  Summer challenge 
The Doctor dusted his hands on the front of his chocolate-striped trousers. Jack thought they reminded him a bit of a biscuit. One of his favourite kinds, in fact.  HOSHIT I DO WRITE FLUFF. I lied.  To myself. About this.

August:
Still Life - White Collar (Peter/Neal/El)
"Is there even a word for us?" 

September:
After Frost - Torchwood (Jack/Gwen/Rhys) with neifile7 
They ate their stew and chased it with a few more shots, just for luck, just to draw out the stories a little longer. 

November:
No Rush - Torchwood (Tosh/OFC) for the tw_femficfest 
"I'm bringing a friend. A date, actually..."

Next year, my resolutions are to challenge myself with genres/pairings/themes I haven't tackled before.  Maybe something with storyboards. :D

I looked through my list of 2010 fics and found that most of them are drabbles. I also discovered that I haven't written and posted a fic since September.

Yay! I love these so I can save them to my 'to read' folder and catch up at my leisure!

I always used to do them myself but I write so little these days that it's not worth it. In fact, I just checked and I have posted exactly ONE fic this year! :-(
