...of Dreamwidth. Maybe. I keep forgetting to update there/synch so i don't have the new journal things added here posted on that platform.

It's very similar to LiveJournal, so the difference is... it's newer? Shinier? Run by fen?

I'm unconvinced that it's necessary (unless LJ goes down, is re-sold, etc.) Are InsaneJournal and JournalFen pulling in the do$h?

Updates:

Am polishing a story with [livejournal.com profile] neifile7 We're refining the collab process as we go about it. :)

In honor of Memorial Day in the US and Real!Jack, the week's theme for the drabble community [livejournal.com profile] tw100 is The Fallen. I haven't done any drabbles for a while but do miss it.

Two of the anonymous porn battle stories have been claimed by their authors - [livejournal.com profile] angstslashhope (Intermezzo) and [livejournal.com profile] cruentum (Tosh/Gwen), have claimed their tales. There are also some newer submissions on page two. Do let writers know if you liked their stuff, and check out their other fic.   (We've been asked again, and yep... it's totally fine to repost your stories on your LJ/comms. They're yours.)   :)

The vid is CAN's Last Night Sleep from the film Until The End of the World, which is, hands down, my fave soundtrack.

Heh, I know what you mean. I basically just have a dreamwidth as a "just in case" kind of thing...

Yep!

The crossposting feature is nice, but I don't have time to actively explore a second platform with different comms, etc.

If they had UBER COOL widgets or templates to customize, I'd be tempted to do more there, though.

Mmm. Iron Man.

Calm down. No slash! LOL!

I hope you like it. It's a one-shot and is not terribly long.

Oh no, expectations. :o

Eeep! Well, we're having fun with it, and it might actually be something a little newish, but, um, eeep! No pressure?

Oh, of course no pressure! I'm sure whatever the two of you collaborate on will be lovely. :)

Is the Great Aviatrix icon new??? Because I LOFF it.

I've gotten the Dreamwidth codes but of course haven't done anything yet (I'm not even LJiterate, how can I take on a new platform?). But it's good to have the bolt-hole, even if it IS awfully puce.

Refinement. Heh. Not exactly my strong suit?

Puce!

Yes, the aviatrix replaced my older, crappier aviatrix pic. :D

Ze refinement, eet ees good. Was just tap-tap-typing!

I definitely liked the cocktails-and-chat part of it! taptaptapmisspelltaptap

But I hear we missed an elopement. Or a Druid sacrifice. Some wood got torched, anyway.

Yep. Wine!Typing *slug slug* XLJSUbl;;jd har!

I have fantastic Pinot Grigio tonight, BTW. (God, I sound like I drink a lot.)

AND INORITE? I'm still pissed about not being invited. Jack and Coffee missed out on some great presents (and singing) and a big weekend with brunch and bloody marys and guests shagging in the mulberry bushes and ripping their sundresses.

We could have thrown in together to get them a baby carriage or something.

Or at least a year's supply of lube. I have a great source. They are so missing out.

But maybe there will be a special civilian wedding breakfast when Coffee gets over his hangover. Heart-shaped waffles, mimosas and guests shagging in the greenhouse. (It's a Torchwood tradition!)

We should have a honeymoon fanfic challenge.

Oh God.

I fear a heart-shaped waterbed would be involved.

No. Wait... the GOBBLER Cupid Suite!

Mirrors on the ceiling... pink champagne on ice. We are all just prisoners here, of our own device.

Heh! I think Capitano would probably hurl too (he has good taste when spoiling his fans) except for... that bed.

It totally has to have mirrors. Look at that honkin' piece o' oak! I bet there are little eye-hooks for the ropes, too.

Okay, I had better sleep now or will be useless at the extra workload I should have conquered today even though it was a holiday. :(

Yeah, to be honest, I'm not sure what the dealio with Dreamwidth is either. In fact, I'm honestly not all that sure about what it is.

On the other hand, new story? new story! Yay!

I haven't reposted mine, either. Unless it's something I usually post on a comm aimed at a specific pairing, I usually don't.

Two from the first battle ended up being parts of longer stories, but the Tosh/Rhys and Tosh/Ianto haven't.

Yeah, I mean, I'm saving up all the Ianto/Tosh's but I mostly use these things to experiment a bit with settings and characters that I don't usually write simply because I don't really know how to write them yet, so I consider it .. practice I think.

God, it's like ... 80F here today. Wth, it's like ... summer.

Yes, I use the battles to write things I don't have an entire longer story around. Or basically, it's an excuse to make an odd pairing get porny. :D

...and Summer. Yes.

We committed barbeque yesterday and there's a pile of cold chicken in the refrigerator. I LOVE cold chicken.

Dreamwidth-I dutifully snagged my name, patted it, and then frankly forgot about it. Been an ljer for too many years to give it up easily. I did play on Insane Journal for one rpg but never felt at home there either (felt like blogspot-just 'there') and so for me, unless there is a hugely compelling reasont to leave, I won't.

Besides, I adore both my lj's, how they look and work. So don't want to give that up.

I lurked all through the coffee/a_cj fun yesterday. Loved it!

This is so... silly, but that hideous smiley face on InsaneJournal puts me off.
