Fic rec and other things

[livejournal.com profile] lefaym has written angst!sex. It's great... and sad. It's one of my favorite things to read, though I don't write it well.

Title:
Standing In
Fandom: Torchwood
Character(s)/Pairing(s): Jack/Gwen
Summary: Missing scene, set between Day Four and Day Five of CoE: Gwen has to do it, because she's the only one left.
Rating: NC-17 for dark and angsty PWP

In other news:

- That balloon boy thing is fishy. Fishy! Am I just too cynical about people who volunteer for reality TV and call up morning shows and OFFER themselves up for interviews?  No. It's fishy!

- I owe Nick betaz. I KNOW!

- Must get caught up on RP ASAP.

- This weekend I am tackling laundry mountain. I will plant a flag on top and then wash the flag, too.

Thank you for the pimpage! :) Your suggestions about where I needed to include extra detail were very useful; you really helped me see where it needed something more.

YW, BB!

It was fun. Well, it's a sad, angst-filled story, but you know what I mean. :)

Solemn nod. That's okay. Other people owe me beta too. I'm used to it. *sadface*

HAVE FUN WITH THE LAUNDRY

OMG so much laundry. The dog beds are in the dryer now. Dogs come first.

They have a sort of playpen in the kitchen where they go when we're not at home. We really need a doggie gate to keep them in there and out of the living room, but the doorway is abnormally wide.

PLAYPEN. We're so weird.

Yeah I'm a little fishy about the balloon boy thing too. though I'm thinking the children were the ones who set it up.

I don't know. I sort of hate to think the worst, but if someone made that little boy lie, that's just terrible.

I myself am hoping to conquer Mount Clorox. Then perhaps the Cliffs of Mopping...

I failed. I only made it to laundry base camp!

There were too many risks at the higher altitudes!
