Oh man, I've been loving on Buffy/Giles for years now!! Granted, I would prefer Giles be mine, but I LOVE the idea of him with Buffy. I even like the idea of him with Willow... when she was still jail bait, pre-Lesbian revelation, of course ;-)

But I accept the fact that I'm a perv! haha!

I do think Buffy and Angel are each others' one true loves, and I definitely prefer Buffy/Spike over Buffy/Giles (since Buffy/Spike is freaking hotttt), but I can't get enough "young woman with an older man, mentor, paternal figure love" in my life! haha!

And I forgot about Ethan, and there were MAJOR Ethan/Giles slash vibes!! I wouldn't feel comfortable slashing him with any man but Ethan actually... hmm...

I think Angel and Buffy are each others' soul mates, but I don't wish they had ended up together or anything. They couldn't! (I was ALL for Angel/Cordy in the Angel spin off anyway lol!) I still think Angel and Buffy are each others' one true loves though. But I love the Buffy/Spike that developed and I love the idea of past Angel/Spike even more than the Buffy/Spike!! Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm!! ;-D

Yeah, I am. Buffy/Spike = one relationship that I was HAPPY to see become canon.

Angel and Buffy? Their chemistry didn't work for me most of the time. Don't kill me.

I have a lot of thoughts concerning Angel and Spike and Buffy and soul-gaining, but I have to sleep now. ;)

Oh wow! haha! I'm not gonna kill you! :-P I'm fine with you feeling differently from me about fandom things. I'm a big believer in "agreeing to disagree" about things, since I am stubborn and hate when people try to convert me to things in most instances lol. Besides, I can totally understand what you mean. I have to admit, I loved Angel and Buffy MUCH more when I was a little teenybopper watching as the show aired. I watched a few season 1 and 2 episodes recently and I was almost gagging. LOL!

I like odd pairs and I can't deny... ;)

Angel and Buffy didn't work well for me partially because Buffy was such a typical high-schooler in earlier seasons, despite being the Slayer, and Angel was beyond adult in age (beyond in age...SRSLY) and prior relationships. It would have bothered me had she hooked up with Spike then too. Or any other vastly more-experienced partner.

It just didn't feel likely or plausible to me.

I totally understand. I've had giant crushes on/ been in love with teachers since Middle School, so the Buffy/Angel business made me hopeful that they would feel the same way back, lol (That explains the Buffy/Giles fascination as well *g*)! Have I mentioned yet that I'm an utterly hopeless idealist?? ;-)
