Awww, Giles. I miss Giles. Soooooo much. :-(

I'm afraid I'm one of the 'no Giles/Buffy' please camp. In fact, I don't like Giles/Xander or Giles/Willow, either. There's just too much age difference, plus the father-figure thing.

I am, however, very, very happy with Giles/Spike, or Giles/Joyce (not that I've seen much of that), or Giles/Angel, or Giles/Ethan... :-)

ASH is capable of much hotness - so I went for "I'd tap that". As far as the others go, I read a Spike/Willow once that wasn't as squickifying as I expected, but it wouldn't be my first choice. I love Ganya, I can easily read a well-done, believable Spike/Giles (although, only as a temporary thing, for some reason), I can easily get into Giles/Joyce, and if he wants Olivia, I'm fine with that. And then, there's Ethan...
Giles and Buffy just makes me shudder. I'd rather read Spawn, than Biles. That is not a positive statement - just in case that wasn't clear. :)

Randomly enough, on my rewatch of Buffy, on the second Ethan episode, he's talking to Buffy and he says something about Giles and Buffy goes, "You know Giles?" and Ethan says, "We go back" and I FLIPPED OUT. He said it in the same tone as Jack, except... less annoyed. Possibly more suggestive.

That pretty much sealed the Giles/Ethan deal for me.

I've been plotbunnying two Buffy crossovers and one of them is a Jack/Ethan conman fic. But pre!Who Jack doesn't work for it. I'd have to have a Jack who didn't give up a life of con through his course of the 20th century.

I loooove Giles. Do you have Tony Head's album, Music For Elevators? It's not stupendous but there's a couple songs I like: "This Town In The Rain" and ESPECIALLY "The Last Time" which was supposed to be one of Spike's songs in "Once More With Feeling".

Also, have you seen Repo! The Genetic Opera? He's very... villianous but fantastic in it.

I loved "Standing"... Tony Head gave me goosebumps when he sang that. I've seen him as Frank 'N Furter too and he's perfect! (I can give you a link to the video if you like)

My friends have mixed reviews about that movie. HOWEVER, I can say that Paris Hilton's character is perfect. It is not annoying because her character IS her. Watch it and you'll see. It really works.

Oh man, I've been loving on Buffy/Giles for years now!! Granted, I would prefer Giles be mine, but I LOVE the idea of him with Buffy. I even like the idea of him with Willow... when she was still jail bait, pre-Lesbian revelation, of course ;-)

I do think Buffy and Angel are each others' one true loves, and I definitely prefer Buffy/Spike over Buffy/Giles (since Buffy/Spike is freaking hotttt), but I can't get enough "young woman with an older man, mentor, paternal figure love" in my life! haha!

And I forgot about Ethan, and there were MAJOR Ethan/Giles slash vibes!! I wouldn't feel comfortable slashing him with any man but Ethan actually... hmm...
