Gonna rec something...  I helped to beta-read this story this week, and I MEANT to read a bit and do other stuff, but I loved it and couldn't stop reading. :D

Title
: Intersecting Geodesics  (Chapter 1 of 5)
Author: [info]nancybrown
Rating: R (language, situations, violence)
Spoilers: up through CoE, brief mentions of events from "Pack Animals," "Almost Perfect" and "Lost Souls"
Characters: Ianto, Jack, John, (Eleven and announced companion)
Warnings/AN: Various shades of dub-con, non-descriptive mentions of sex trafficking, character death. I am operating under the assumption that John Hart is Captain Bad Touch, and so should you for the duration of this story.
Wordcount: 36,000 overall, 7,500 this section
Summary: Stuck in the wrong time with a Jack who hasn't met him yet, all Ianto really wants is a way home.

I've also had a peek at [livejournal.com profile] iamshadow 's [livejournal.com profile] omnijaxual story and I loooove it!  Should... get started on mine. BLADE RUNNER.

Friends seem to have written RPS and I EGGED THEM ON. :D  (I am not really sorry. At all. LOLZ.)

Please go and sign up for the [livejournal.com profile] reel_torchwood challenge? It's only 1,000 words. I'm doing a crossover for Torchwood/Secretary. Someone's going to get a spanking.  Ain't sayin' who.

The posse are taking pictures of themselves wearing little braids! I'm loving the braids. They would look dorky on me, I suspect.

...and Happy Thanksgiving, Canadians!  (A day early!)

I'll enter the [livejournal.com profile] reel_torchwood thing if you'll beta it for me ;) I've never used a beta before and I'm a little shy about asking :p

I really really want to do Brief Encounter, lol.

I have literally no ideas for it right now. Like, I can write anything as long as it's based somehow on Brief Encounter? The team going to see the movie, Gwen/Ianto as Laura/Alec (do really want)? Lol, too many questions :p

I'll rewatch the movie (which is no major struggle for me :p) and hopefully ideas will form...

And aww, thanks! =D

YW!

It's weird that I didn't choose Breakfast at Tiffany's, really.

Defy expectations... ;)

...I promised myself I wouldn't do any challenges, but I sincerely think Amelie rewritten to be Tosh/Andy would be amazing.

Damn you, RPG.

I'm afraid of the style problems. But I just might do it...

Looks like someone else has snagged it. I might do it on my own eventually, though. With enough bribery. ;)

Thanks for the rec!

I signed up for the challenge. I've been seeing the scenes in my head anyway. Might as well share. ;)

I thought about doing Hedwig for reel_torchwood and I think it'd be cool, but I just don't have the time and patience to add that to my plate I think too much RPS, uh.

But whoohoo

(and no braids from me, yo)

No, I just emailed him and C earlier about the b&B I'm staying at in Cardiff, and we had a discussion of their breakfast layout. N thinks the eggs benedict has too much hollandaise on it. And he called it "porn" sausage instead of porn, because he has a one track mind.

ETA: ER, PORK SAUSAGE. My mind is apparently one track too.

Bend those braids up!

I remember reading that as a kid, and I had an illustrated version where Pippi was hanging upside-down from a tree with these horizontal braids. Too awesome.

I really need to avoid writing Torchwood fic right now since I have assignments to do for a short creative writing course I'm doing at the moment.

Though the challenge sounds very interesting. Good luck though.
