GDL's new project and fic

So, Gareth David-Lloyd is in that new Sherlock Holmes flick from horror flick production company Global Asylum.

Synopsis from GDL's Facebook, emphasis mine.  ENORMOUS MONSTERS. ATTACKING LONDON. OMFG.

"Hopefully, with the support of Gareth's Dr Watson, Holmes will be able to outwit the enormous monsters attacking London! The film, which also stars Dominic Keating, is expected to be available on DVD in January 2010 and will include a 'Making Of...' extra."

I ganked this picture from dailypost.co.uk. They're filming in North Wales.

AND:  I've beta-read a touching post-COE story by [livejournal.com profile] stuffphile

Title: "Forever. Two graves."
Author:
K.A.
Rating(s): PG.
Pairing(s): Jack/Ianto
Summary: Moments in-between, and afterwards.

I sort of can't wait for that movie. Even though I should be crying tears of canon purism...

HAHAHAHA, THAT LOOKS AWESOME.

I WILL GLADLY SPEND MY MONEY ON THIS DVD INSTEAD OF BUYING CHILDREN OF EARTH.

Um, god save me, but he looks adorable as Watson.

But do we have any pictures of Mr Keating in character yet? I want to know. And I want a pipe. And... I ship it. I'm shipping it sort of freeform with no focus, but I feel very compelled.

...does the Sherlock Holmes thing remind anyone else of "League of Extrordinary Gentlemen"? Or is that just another one of those me things?

Thanks for the link!

And OMG. Enormous monsters! I LOL'd so hard. 2010 is not soon enough!

It's from the company that did Shark vs Giant Octopus for Syfy. So you know that means QUALITY.

i am decidedly and embarrassingly excited for this movie... I LIKE MONSTER MOVIES OK?

OMG! That button nose! CUTE WATSON!

I'm just glad it's a straight to DVD and not a SighFeh production.

I want to see the Sherlock Holmes movie with Robert Downey Jr since it looks so much fun. I'm a fan of Sherlock Holmes but not really a purist.

GDL looks great as Watson, hopefully Australia will get the dvd.

Well, I know Il'l be looking for that on DVD - any idea if it will be available in the US?

Hang on. A dashing assistant helping fight MONSTORZ IN LONDON?

I'm sure I've seen this...

At the risk of reinforcing what everyone already thinks about me, I gotta say that particular collar is not doing GDL's jawline any favors. And I'd hate to think he's about to get compared to Jude Law playing the same role.

Um, I kind of want to wind my fingers in that hair. And maybe pull. Anyway.

This will be going on my movie wishlist, I think. Along with, you know, the million things already there. Because my living room doesn't already look like a Blockbuster Video Store. DON'T JUDGE ME.
