I  faiiiiiiled to finish my Angel/Spike fic for the [livejournal.com profile] grazieprego  deadline. That would be today. Happy Failure Day!  And Cinco de Mayo!

A pile of dialogue does not a story make, unfortunately. I know. I've made stories out of piles of dialogue before.  Am aware of this.

It's a shame, because: Amore/moray eel pun! Unfortunately the pun only really works when spoken aloud. And there was a thing about the Immortal fornicating Buffy repeatedly. That made me LOL a little to myself  (but not that heartily).

Unrelated to anything, but on Law & Order SVU, Judge Marsden brought the WTFery,  huh?  Evil judges are on my squick list.

Much more interesting: The Sartorialist takes fashion photos of people on the street.  It's people-watching without leaving the house! Bonus!

ETA: I just noticed that ass/pants blog linked earlier is no longer being updated. This is a good thing, trust me. :D

Dahlink! You should have said it was today -- would never have asked for you-know-what! (but also FAIL on my part for not checking your deadline).

Butbutbut you'll still write it sometime, Y? :(

One way or another, the Webz want to CONFIRM how fat our asses look in these pants. If we don't send up our own humiliation, the guerilla fashion photog will get us anyhow. Woe.

Ooh, hey... you've got mail, coincidentally. :)

Y! to finishing. Maybe?

No, you didn't contribute to any fail; I've had months to finish this story. It just didn't come together properly.

And yes... I don't need the affirmation/condemnation from strangers. That's why dressing-room mirrors exist. :D

Never mind about the story. Maybe you'll post what you have some time and we can read it anyway, now the deadline pressure's off?

Maybe! But it wasn't very good, really. So... y'know, not a tragic loss to the world of fanfiction. :D

Don't make me fail also. It's not looking good.

I'm like, "but what's the POINT to the story I'm writing? It's only bits and pieces floating around in midair, half-assed."

I love the idea of the prompt/story but I have no idea what the hell I am actually doing with it. Wuh.

All that is to say, I commiserate on the deadline etc. stuff.

Ahh, so it was you who stole my writing process! Well, I need it back, please, I have to fill in the other half of the ass.

To [livejournal.com profile] 51stcenturyfox - if it's any motivation, I am clamouring for Spike/Angel, especially written by yourself, and I'll continue to clamour until you finish it or feel driven to clamp a pillow over my face, how's that?

Are you working on a deadline? When's your deadline?

These are all important factors, lol, I can't just give it away for free.

Seriously, this is frustrating. This is why I don't shouldn't do fests because you can't just leave stories in the cupboard for 3 months when they don't quite work yet

Tomorrow! Gimme!

It's for [livejournal.com profile] lgbtfest and I'm actually kind of pleased how it's likely I'll make the deadline on both my fics, which is unprecedented for me. I kind of like to have a deadline because otherwise months start to stretch to decades and fandom is dead before I have a chance to revisit. With some fics though I suspect that's no bad thing! Mercy killings are sometimes an option.

Mine isn't until a week from now.

Don't abuse it too much and you can have it.

I'm incredibly bad with deadlines. I have a rounds_of_kink that completely ended up missing the prompt and the deadline and was intended for Decemember 9th, I think, and will be posted non-rok-ish sometime next month? And I have a stopwatch_fest fic that is still only half done because virtually everything else I have started between October and now got done first. Before that I missed two HP-festdeadline ... I think of all the 6 fests I entered at some point or another in the last few years I made 1 deadline and missed 5 (but I made all my XF fandom deadlines back in teh days!) C is groaning because I tend to tdrag her into teh sign ups for some of them and then I drop out and she is stood there looking on, lol.

I am so delighted to find someone with a stopwatch fic that's even later than mine I can't even say. From hence forth, whenever I do a fest, I'm going to make sure I'm standing next to you; you can make me look good!

C is groaning because I tend to tdrag her into teh sign ups for some of them and then I drop out and she is stood there looking on, lol.

This made me lol. The road to hell is paved with fannish intentions, yanno.

I have to correct myself, I met two deadlines in HP, lol.

But yeah, essentially, the chances of me making a deadline when I enter a fest are really slim, so yup, just stand there and point at me :D

It's funny with C because while I also like Being Human a lot and watched the show and loved it, I haven't watched eacch episode seven bloody times. She's never been this fannish before... lol.

3 in HP!

And I apparently am fannish about Being Human all alone. *sighs* There are fangroups but I don't want to do those--TW is waaayyy enough. I'll finish this, then just enjoy George/Andy by myself.

Watched eight times, actually, and all the deleted scenes, and the documentary twice, and...

THERE ARE OTHER PEOPLE THAT LIKE BEING HUMAN?!?!?!

Why did no-one tell me! I've been sat in my own little corner of cyberspace fangirling about it since it came out. Dang it! Although, I have no icon. This is an inexcusable offence. I shall crawl away to somewhere without internet access, where I can't interrupt your threads. *slinks away*

Oh yes...there are indeed. I actually haven't looked for anything because I want to create my own George and friends in my head without feeling like I have to do this, have to do that...Torchwood intimidates me actually for that reason. And the canon, ahh! TW canon has been tough for me to get a hang of.

But Being Human on the other hand?!?!??! Oh George! I adore him, I love Mitchell, adore Annie, the whole shebang. But George and and and Nina and ohmygosh and LAUREN gosh I loved her... And Owen. Grrr. Meep on the new bad guys...EEK! LOL. :)

George!

And oh I doubt 51st thinks you are interrupting cuz I sure don't. BH ROCKS!

My opinion is fanfic is FANfic, so I'll do what the hell I like. It's not like many people read my work anyway. There's me, ... yeah, that's about everyone. XD

George is awesome! And Mitchell, and I LOVE Annie! George and Nina were so cute! I spent all their screen time squee'ing in delight. LAUREN WAS ONE BADASS BITCH TURNED GOOD! Her and Mitchell... Owen scared me. Total schizophrenic. Which was kinda brilliant!

The episode(s) with The Door! That door scared the hell out of me. It was a door, for gods sake!

You did two HP festies...if you count the cute little puppet one, and the drawing pictures of Snape ones that we did. For some reason. But did them. The writerly HP one was the one you didn't finish (when I wrote the Neville fic)--except, you did complete the mega-Snape HP one. Awesome story, always will love that. Just saying. LOL.

And you will finish this one.

I'm not really sure what that is - I'm not involved in Buffy/Angel fandom but don't be too hard on yourself - you'll either finish it at your leisure OR uh-those words will get incorporated into other stuff? (Mine tend to do the latter!)

Could do!

I think part of the problem is... I like reading Angel/Spike but don't normally write it.

This is my X-Files problem too. Everybody writes the pairing I like better anyway so I enjoy theirs instead of attempting to create anything! :D

That might be worse! I have a lot of paid work (not writing in any way, shape or form) to do anyway.

I'm bummed because the challenge is cool and the the organizers did a nice job setting up a comm for this. (Fifth anniversary of a great episode.)
