I've never slapped down a poll before, so I thought this was as good a time as any.  After a discussion at [Poll #1352219][Poll #1352219]

Without a doubt, Ethan.

Randomly enough, on my rewatch of Buffy, on the second Ethan episode, he's talking to Buffy and he says something about Giles and Buffy goes, "You know Giles?" and Ethan says, "We go back" and I FLIPPED OUT. He said it in the same tone as Jack, except... less annoyed. Possibly more suggestive.

That pretty much sealed the Giles/Ethan deal for me.

I have never seen this scene. What is wrong with me?

Geez, I suck. Do you know the name of the ep?

The Dark Age. If you have the series on dvd, it's on the second disc of season two.

I've been plotbunnying two Buffy crossovers and one of them is a Jack/Ethan conman fic. But pre!Who Jack doesn't work for it. I'd have to have a Jack who didn't give up a life of con through his course of the 20th century.

Ooh, that'd be nice. Maybe Jack could have a disillusionment period after someone close to him is hurt or something, wanders the world and meets up with Ethan?
