1. Leave me a comment saying, 'interview me'.
2. I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
3. Update your LJ with the answers to the questions. (You must do this, even if it's filtered for my eyes only!)
4. Include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

1. What is the most satisfying thing about maths for you?
When I was in school, I despised mathematics, and I didn't think I was very good at it; it was a struggle depending on the specific subject. And that's why I like it. It's a puzzle. I get lazy and tend to coast unless I force myself to do something challenging. Plus, it makes sci-fi more interesting, because you start to think about absolutes and ambiguity and proofs. I think it helps with fiction because I want to solve problems with stories. They always start with an answer and then you've got to "show your work". Does that make sense? Maybe not.
2. Who is your favorite character on 30 Rock and why?
Jack Donaghy. Because my mouth also tastes like purple.
3. What do you enjoy most about marriage?***
Never having to say you're sorry. Whoops, that's "love". Always having someone around to scratch that itch. I mean the kind you get kind of mid-back. Also: two incomes, someone else cooking for me and sex on demand.
4. What is the most embarrassing things to happen to you lately?
I haven't embarrassed myself latelybecause I block these things out to reduce the horrific mental trauma, but once I accidentally tucked the back of my skirt into my tights and walked all the way to the coffee room and then back to my desk like that. Thank God they were black tights. Because. Office ass! I should really block that memory out too.
5. Where is the furthest you have ever traveled from home? What happened there?
It's very hard to say, since I've moved a lot and have lived in four countries, so am not sure where home is. This will sound odd, but Panama FELT like the furthest away, because of the stifling, oppressive heat. I was videotaping things, and my Betacam kept fogging up.
*** ETA: That my husband thought that answer was funny, and not offensive.
Unrelated to meme, I've updated my fanmix in the links list. 51 tunes on there, baby. There were 50, but what sort of sense did that make?

3. Back Scratches. I once thought people should open scratching parlors--like massage parlors, but just to have someone really scratch your back exactly the way you like. People could make millions on franchising an idea like that;)
4. Wish I coulda been there to see that;)
5. My aunt lived there for a while. I think she loved it, but I am a little sick of oppressive heat myself. Plan on moving back up north asap.

Jack Donaghy is Alec Baldwin's best role - kind of reminiscent of Blake in Glengarry Glen Ross. "Get them to sign on the line which is dotted."
The pantyhose thing? It was not sexy, just ridiculous.
Yes; no on the heat.
Oooh! An interview, what fun!
