I also send my BRs documents via IM - the 'send file' feature on MSN. Occasionally, I will paste live into MSN for an instant reaction.

As for storing fics, I also back them up on our home server.

I've switched to google chat for all IM's, so... it's Google docs; you can't share documents in that chat (as far as I know.) .
