Ok then. NOW it's Friday.

I exuberantly titled an email "TGIF!" yesterday and facepalmed when I discovered I'd jumped the gun.  I... couldn't wait.  This has been a long week and it just needs to come to a relaxing close. Seriously.

I owe betaz! I haven't forgotten. I am writing a story too, and keep being distracted by interesting stuff on my f-list.  Stop it! :D

Some things:

- The Onion's AV Club reports on more documentaries about fans and fandom - there are things coming out focusing on the public's relationship with Arrested Development, Calvin and Hobbes and others. I might like to see  The Achievers: The Story Of The Lebowski Fans.  Ah, The Big Lebowski.    "Smokey, this is not 'Nam. This is bowling. There are rules."

-  [livejournal.com profile] copperbadge  is putting his space opera (yeah!) up for us to read and would like feedback. The Valet of Anize starts here.

-  I'm drinking Pepsi Cola THROWBACK. Made with natural sugar!  I'm not really certain I like this, but I normally drink Diet Pepsi anyway if I have a soft drink.. The name makes me think of genetic throwbacks. I'll let you know if I start shambling around on all fours.

Happy tambourine guy makes me happy.

ETA: I love everything about this video. KC's earnest crooning at the steadicam operator, his big white pointy collar, the tambourine guy's braces with a short-sleeved shirt, and the song. I even like the remakes by Double You and KWS.

AND a song which, like an out-of-context Big Lebowski quote, rarely applies to anything. Today it fucking does, though. Because it's Friday, August 14th.  :D :D

I have never heard of THROWBACK pop, what's the deal here?

My sister said that "throwback" was a bad call for pop, since she reads it as "throw-up" and "backwash". I lol'd.

I'm not a Pepsi drinker, but the Coke made with cane sugar I had was really good. So, real sugar, yay!

will have to look out for this new old-fangled pepsi-cola. Our Uni is contracted with pepsi, so there's no coke sold (nay supposed to be SEEN) on campus so maybe it'll show up here before too long.

Natural sugar, Foxy? HOLY FUCK D:

And why is it blue? This is not the colour of pepsi. No no no.

Sign me up for "The Achievers." Shut the fuck up, Donny.

We can fund that documentary with clever product placement of Pepsi Throwback. We'll call it the Pepsi Throwdown.

When you said THROWBACK Pepsi last night, I shit you not, by brain translated that into "Crystal Pepsi" and I was all, O_o? Then I figured well, maybe you got it off ebay and that's like, your thing, and I shouldn't judge you because of your crystal pepsi habit.

But I did. Just a little.

Your fictional Crystal Pepsi Ebay obsession that I made up in my head.

I like throwback.

For all its brave connotations. There is an ad agency/department that still dares to do the unusual

Certainly catches my eye.

It also sounds like v-play

The can certainly looks great, the name though is very strange.
