This rumor has been floating around all week.

An insider told the Daily Express newspaper: "Gillian obviously has a massive sci-fi following and it's felt that it would be a major coup to have her appear in Doctor Who.

Please, please let it be true! 

I'm going to go watch some X-Files S4 and eat sunflower seeds in supplication to the gods of television for this. Where my 'Philes at?

ETA: I have added some of my fave fanvids to a Delicious account. I LOVE FANVIDS. Can't make them, just fangirl the genius of other people.  If you have recs, pls let me know.  Multifandom are my faves, but X-Files, Torchwood, Doctor Who are much loved. :D

I tried to watch Merlin, couldn't get past the pilot. I don't think the boys are pretty (don't like blonds, they're both way too young and twinky), so I couldn't ignore the fact that the show sucks.

Of the three shows, TW has by FAR the best writing. The TW writers can actually do clever dialogue, which is pretty much beyond the skillz of the SPN or Merlin writers. There remains that pesky plot hole issue, however... *g*
