Yeah, it's one of those things that always comes up, especially when you talk about this in the Torchwood fandom where slash is practically default. "But what about the multifandom communities?!?!!" Um... they probably aren't going to read fics that aren't about their fandoms anyway?

Oh, yeah, characters who typically go by last names. Who the hell knows what gender they are.
