You know, I never really got into Angel/Buffy (unrepentant Spike/Buffy shipper here) but Spike/Angel? Hellllllo, dolly!

There is a "The Girl In Question" fic challenge on right now at grazieprego   Entries for the "Grazie Prego Kiss Kiss" Spangel ficathon are due April 30th.

Am I the only person who likes Buffy/Angel? I really, really didn't like Spuffy when the show aired, but on my recent rewatch, it didn't bother me nearly as much as I remembered. I just didn't like how being in love with Buffy turned Spike into a pussy for... pretty much all of season five. Beginning of season six. It got better there at the end. They found the right balance of badass and nice guy.

You know, maybe it's because I was never really in the fandom, but I never did much slashing with Buffy. I definitely see where Spike/Angel is fabulous. I do loves me some preseries Giles/Ethan. Spike/Xander, though? Don't see it. At all. Does nothing for me.

Giles pairings, set during the series, always squicked me, but post-S7 it kinda worked, in some pieces.

I just don't see it with Xander. This is proof that I can't slash everything. Sometimes it seems like I do, but... no. Not Xander. I really don't see it.

Mmmm, I love Giles ships. A couple years ago, someone wrote this fantastic, epic Lupin/Giles crossover piece that was amazing. But I really only like the idea of "adult" ships for him (het or slash), though the episode where they lost their memories and Giles and Anya thought they were engaged, I kinda got into that.

A lot of people think the Buffy relationship turned Spike into a pussy. I think being chipped is to blame, but I love some redemption. And some fic set earlier when Spike is definitely more badass.

Well, like I said, he got better as the series progressed. I think they figured out a good balance for him. And I still blame Buffy for his pussification, cause he was at least trying to still be badass in season four post chipping. Then it was all "I'm in love with Buffy, I'm going to be good!" and he got all watered down.

Before I wrote the Ianto/Faith story, I watched some of those season seven Faith episodes, and in the episode where she comes back, the conversation between her and Spike in the basement? They're smoking, and he's shirtless, and oh my god, how sexy was that? I might have watched the scene like three times.
