Strange, yeah?

Just realized that Stockard Channing was 33 when she played a high school senior in Grease, my first "fandom" film. (I love her in everything, even the rubbishy Up Close and Personal.) What a great speaking voice.
She looked pretty damned good . Actually, every supposed high schooler in the film was well... old. A film producer would never do that today. Oh God... please don't remake Grease with Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers.
She was in my favorite play, too... John Guare's The House of Blue Leaves - and I wish I had that on tape. I met some public access TV producers in my hometown as a teenager and one of them starred in the local community theatre production of that play. I wish I had a recording of that too... and the messed-up sci-fi spoofs they'd do involving giant women from Mars. And puppets. ETA: I can't believe they had the patience to hang out with me.
