I just signed up for [livejournal.com profile] tardis_bigbang  (See, technically I haven't been committed yet, but this is a major step in that direction.)

Now I have to write that freakin' Owen v.2.0 story.  Owen Harper, loose in the mainframe.  Run away!

Breaking it down into chunks over the coming months, it's not too daunting.

At first I thought it was a one-month challenge, but that would be insanity.

That makes a lot of sense. Okay, you've talked me into it. It's less than NaNo, and I've done that. Though this appears to be for polished fic (by the end of it) where NaNo can just be crap that no one ever has to see. Which is an aspect I like, lol.

Yes, NaNo freaks me out, even if it's just supposed to be words on a page. :)

What's your premise?

Basically, Gwen wakes up in a parallel universe where she's married to Ianto. She's completely taken the place of her other-world counterpart. Since they don't know how she got there, they don't know how to get her (and their Gwen) back. The longer she stays there, other-Gwen's memories start bleeding through and she kind of loses what's real, and starts doubting her "canon" existence.

...when I put it like that, it reminds me of that one episode of Buffy. Except being married to Ianto is way better than being institutionalized.

That sounds really amazing. Whoa.

I'm really looking forward to this story. I love parallel universe tales and Gwen/Ianto? Yes!

I love this already. No pressure. ;)

Haha. The idea basically came from seeing so many "something crazy happens to Ianto" fics. Which I like, and have a plethora of bunnies for, but I wanted to do something else, so "something crazy happens to Gwen" seemed to work and it just went from there.

Plus, yeah, I love Gwen/Ianto. It'll have a little Jack/Gwen, too. This is the one I wasn't sure would have an audience because it has absolutely no slash. The extent of the slash is Gwen mentioning that Jack and Ianto are together in her world. However, I know I have people who read my stuff, so it's not all for nothing. :D

Oh, it will! There's even a comm: http://community.livejournal.com/gwenianto

(And a few fics there I haven't read yet, I see. Yay.)
