Happy New Year's Eve!

I have a TON to do today - attending a party so am creating foodstuffs to bring. Should have just volunteered to add to the drinks stash. There is a prrrrimo bottle of Piper-Heidsieck chilling to ring in 2009 - but I'm saving that for when we come home because I get to drive tonight.  What a privilege. Am honoured. Really. 

(Screw this, I'm buying deli sushi - which ain't bad, really, the guy who makes this stuff is about 20 and he goes to town on the pres  - and arranging it on a bed of greens. That'll look like we made an effort.)

Had a dialogue dream for a new Jack/John fic after discussing a prompt yesterday: "Interrogation lessons".  Can't wait to write this.  Will be doing so in my head as I shop for groceries and will probably get distracted.  "Honey, why'd you come home with just gourds, a can opener and padlocks?"

Meanwhile kayliemalinza  is making me wet myself with her snarky Countrycide picspam.   It has pretty pictures of pretty people (barring the victims and psychotic cannibals) so go look.
