[Error: unknown template qotd] Negativity. Most of our lives are, if examined historically, pretty damned great. Honestly. Food? Check. Shelter? Check. Immunizations? Check. We women were even allowed - nay, encouraged - to go to school to make something of ourselves and we can vote. But hell, let's take it all for granted and complain about Starbucks mixing up that venti latte order. I really needed to hear your windy diatribe this morning, fellow cube farm denizen.

On that note, Harrison Ford icon is appropriate. I'm going skiing in J-Hole soon and it's reassuring that there's an action hero out there who actually rescues the stranded once in a while (even though some do boot in his chopper).

I love your pet peeve. So very, very true. Our lives (and that applies to pretty much all of us with the time, money and freedom to piddle around on computers a good bit of the day) are pretty wonderful compared to many parts of the world. Not to denigrate some very real problems in the lives of people on-line, but it could be so much worse - and is for many people.

Yeah! And of course people online and in countries where we have many privileges can be sick or grieving or broke too. But we're still pretty lucky. Plumbing, yay!

This colleague of mine never has anything positive to say and it's hitting a nerve today.

Can you believe her husband bought the wrong kind of sandwich bags? No! Neither can I. Tragic! ;)

You're right! Thanks for the perspective (says me, who tends to be negative).

Oho... it's early and I've been right once today? Good, now I can stop. :)

Depending on how many things go wrong in one day, it's not hard to let the negatives creep in and take over, though. That's understandable.

Just not daily!

You are so very right. There are always things to be happy about. It is just a matter of looking.

Wish I could go skiing with you.

I haven't been in years.

I wish you could too! I think we'd have a complete blast hanging out.

It's been two years since I've gone, though the hub has been on a few outings since then.

Excellent icon, by the way. Impressive as always.

"I think we'd have a complete blast hanging out." --I get that distinct feeling, too:)

I totally dig the dammit janet icon. A friend of mine really wants me to write Jack/Janet smut. I think it would be hilarious, but I can't bring myself to imagine it--too creepy.

Speaking of creepy, check out this icon^

In the immortal words of Aretha Franklin... "who's zoomin' who?"

I'd guess Abbadon, because of the physical strength aspect.

Oh hang on, give me a second. I need art. Never mind. I just can't make that "I ship it!" Fandom!Secret.
