In other other news, another pro writer hates fanfic  (ETA: the writer deleted her post - last I saw, there were a few pages of comments from outraged ficcers. Not me though, because I don't care enough) because it's WRONG AND UNCREATIVE AND STEALING OMG. Cue fandom's collective eyeroll +"AGAIN?"  bookshop  said it best.

Well, when you start off with "I want Gwen and Lois and Dee," and then you say, "I want a female doctor for plot purposes, and that chick from the roof with own, because I can work with that side plot" then all of a sudden you have five chicks.
