It has always seemed possible to me that Tosh and Ianto could have slept together after Countrycide, and I worship you for this plausible and moving version of that.

That's actually been written before, and very well. They have such a connection in that ep, and not because they were both captured. Countrycide is really just just a fantastic team dynamics/characterisation piece that I forget that the team should have just called UNIT in to deal with the villagers first thing. :)

Jack claims to be checking on her; but it's obviously Jack who needs comfort and absolution here just as much.
