I used to write het fic. For some reason it's much more difficult to do that in this fandom. ;)
An obstacle for me, and I know this is crazy, is that I usually don't see canonically heterosexual characters with slash goggles... so it was Mulder/Scully or Scully/Krycek for me. That's changed somewhat, and I really love Angel/Spike, for example, but having omnisexual characters is very freeing.
