I just listened to the Once More With Feeling - the Buffy musical ep soundtrack - again and was reminded of how beautifully Anthony Stewart Head sings. 

Should I get Repo! The Genetic Opera?

Also, our friend the wine expert is coming over and is bringing wine. Good!  I am kind of ashamed to admit I'm drinking Franzia Chillable Red out of the box (well, I do put it in a glass, you know. I'm not actually drinking it OUT OF THE BOX).   

(The last time we went to wine expert's house, we had some outstanding aged Riesling and dessert wine in little chocolate cups after dinner. FANCY.)

You should totally listen and/or watch Repo. Head is BRILLIANT in it, doing all the shades of character and showing how wide is his range both as an actor and a singer. (The plot is super silly, though.)

Repo is a fun watch (i, personally, wouldn't pay for it) and i really hope they get King Giles to sing on merlin - He's The Loneliest King in the Neighborhood!

But I could get it on Netflix! I never pick those, they're all Mr Foxy's weird-ass titles in the queue. :D

am not a beer drinker, but i like pimms! i like other alcohols, but i sort of have a bad reaction to wine where i get super HOT in the face and can't breathe, so i don't drink it

Have I shared my drunky punch recipe with you? A pitcher of iced tea (3 quarts), 2 cups cranberry juice cocktail, 2 cups of vodka, 3/4 cup sugar.

And it tastes tasteh. :D And is highly alcoholic. :D

As soon as I can afford vodka, I'm making this. The biggest bummer about food stamps is that they won't cover my alcohol. :( So I can get fat, but I can't get wasted. WHICH ONE IS MORE DEADLY IN THE LONG RUN??

I would love it if I could store extra alcohol in my body fat, but it doesn't feel like that's happening. It's kind of a let down after two solid days of eating opium and drinking Sangria. ;)

Since it's on Netflix, you should definitely get it. I was really, really into Repo before/right as it came out, but it is pretty silly. There were quite a few people laughing in the theater (I traveled up to NYC to see it in the theater, FML) so... don't take it too seriously. :)

However, ASH is AMAZING in it. Oh god. "Thankless Job" is just brilliant, and I used to listen to "Legal Assassin" on repeat forever because it's pretty much everything I ever wanted to hear: ASH's voice, lots of distortion, and heavy bass.

The day I read that article I listened to the clips many many times, so I can attest to the addictive part, but even as you listen you can really REALLY tell how the songs could have been so much better.

Silly is the sort of 'OMG what grown-up supposedly clever person would do THAT' silly, which makes me personally facepalm, but I try to relax and enjoy the music and acting and sexy people.
