I chose "whatever," though most of the triads I've read have been M/F/M. There wasn't room for Jack/Ianto/Lisa, which is another fave, along with Doctor/Rose/Jack and Snape/Hermione/Lupin, which I did put. I keep trying to get someone to write Snape/Hermione/Luna, but as I've no inspiration there either, I can hardly complain that nobody else writes it. Have also read the odd Drapery (Draco/Snape/Harry) or Jack/Ianto/Doctor. I can barely find F/F, never mind F/F/F though.

I wish I had a link to this Jack/Rose/Nine I really loved. If it rings a bell, please let me know. They are in the Tardis. Nine is mostly just observing Rose/Jack, but they do end up leaning against him or sitting on his lap. It was probably posted a year and a half ago or more. It was one of the first Doctor NC-17 I ever read.

Looking back, a lot of my OTPs were bordering on OT3s, depending on circumstance. Frex, if I were in Trek fandom now, I'd be one of the kids writing nu!TNG 'verse, Picard/Beverly Crusher/Jack Crusher all the damn time. The first M/M story I ever wrote was actually M/M/F, and that was for yet another children's cartoon. I don't have any F/F/F OT3s, but now that you've brought it up, I'm already going over permutations in my head with my various F/F 'ships. :D

In TW, I've got my favorite triads (guess) and my "Meh, I'll read it if the porn is good" threesomes. Threesome porn is kind of like pizza: even when it's not exactly the toppings you wanted *ahem*, it's pizza. *shrug*

I didn't have room to put Jack/Doctor/Rose or Jack/Ianto/Tosh (actually, Jack/Ianto/practically anyone). I'm divided on whether I prefer Jack/Ten/Rose or Jack/Nine/Rose - slightly the latter, I guess. I also didn't have room for Mal/Simon/Inara, which I've never seen in fic but which I'd offer my firstborn for if I weren't already so far past the menopause.

I love me a good OT3! Also OT4 (Merlin/Arthur/Gwen/Morgana), etc. It is the solution to all shipping woes!

And while the common OT3 configuration is M/F/M, I do long for more ladies! I wish there was more companion!femslash, for instance. Rose/Martha/Donna would be awesome, yes?

I love me some three-way dynamics, ALWAYS, and a really good fic is sometimes all it takes to make a favorite threesome. Doesn't even have to have sexytiems -- just great chemistry.

Strictly speaking? I think that Peter/El/Neal is my only OT3, in the sense that it's the only fic I'm really interested in reading for WC, and probably the biggest reason I follow the fandom at all.

Whoniverse, more or less in order of preference (this comes almost entirely from the great fic I've read -- less from the show):

I tend to not have really hardcore "THIS IS MY OT3" OT3s (I'm pretty mellow as a shipper), but I do enjoy reading everyone else's. Especially Torchwood, which works in pretty much every combination of two or three or four (at least in a smutty way, maybe not so much in a LOVE and ROMANCE way.)

I said 'three's a crowd' but Mander's Gold Dust totally had me at hello, so there are exceptions. Her Lisa though is so brilliant, I am not sure I would want to see anyone else do Ianto/Jack/Lisa but her. LOL.

That being said, I am open if someone tells me about a brilliant fic w/three. Never say never, right?

Oi! How could I forget: Lex/Clark/Anyone (Smallville.)

For me, though, 3somes would always be about 2 ganging up on one, while only mildly interested in each other. Something like Angel/Spike seducing Xander, working well as a team (St Petersburg? I thought you'd forgotten) but much more interested in the 3rd party, having all ready lost interest in each other. (Because, if they were still interested in each other, they'd be doing each other, see?)

I am an out and out multi-shipper but if I had to pick one combination as my only OT3 it would be Methos/Jack/Ianto hands down. Not even Nine/Jack/Rose can compete with those 3 together - or not in my mind at least.

I don't really read/write that much threesome stuff, really, but I'm totally up for it if I like the pairing or characters involved. I've been kind of interested in Jack/Gwen/Ianto. I think that can be such a cool dynamic to play with.

I put "Whatever" (and the tentacle answer, too), because the genders of the characters involved aren't that big a deal to me. However, I do kind of like M/M/F and F/F/M. I just think, personally, that part of the fun of a threesome is that you can mix and match, if you will.
